Once Upon A Time is Here !

by A. Siqueiros 2/16/2011

Full-blown artistic creativity takes place when a trained and skilled grown-up is able to tap the source of clear, unbroken play-consciousness of the small child within. This consciousness has a particular feel and flow we instinctively recognize. It is " like tossing a ball on swift-flowing water: moment-to-moment nonstop flow. Remembering is not the basses of giving an excuse not to be creative on Once upon a time for it is already here. Do something creative and let your self free.

Reflections of the Heart

Reflections of the Heart
 by a.Siqueiros 2/14/11

 Love is so precious
Love is a treasure
Love is not cheap
Love is when you can't fall asleep
For reality is better than dreams
And life is sweeter than it seams

Love comes from the heart
Not the brain
You don't know when it starts
You don't think about it
You just feel it over and over again

Love is not Just the saying of words
But the giving of one self
Love is caring
Love is daring
And most of All
Love is sharing

Love is not to live in fears
Love is not a matter of counting years
But making the years count

Love is
Telling, listening, understanding,
Respecting the truth and never pretending
True love does NOT have a happy ending!
True love does NOT have an ending!

Love.. some say it is blind
But I say
Love gives you a third eye
To make it easy for you to find
Who is worthy? ! !

Gone Fishing

Anna Siqueiros Gone Fishing
Creating something every day is always my style and my life. Fishing is no different I believe everything has the ability to maintain a creative exploration to get better at. So I am relearning the ability to want to hook a fish on my line. But I believe I have a ways to go and I am OK with that! Besides what else can even compare to be in the midst of the most beautiful creation than nature it's self. Instilling in us the very center of spiritual balance.

Sketches of President Barack Obama & The mood of the State of The Union Speech

     Art & Politics

“An art without an ideological function in spite of genius of its creator- or more specifically its maker- changes the artist progressively and inevitably into a juggle for the society of ‘ladies and gentlemen’ in as much as the generator governs the force of the current”
“ Liberalism transformed the private forms that were complementary, into special forms almost excessively used for the pleasure of society.
It substituted the wealthy gentleman, the art market that before belonged to the state that is to, to the masses. There one must localize the source of transformation from the traditionally social art into an art for society, into an art which is aesthetic compliment to the furnishings in the private home of the wealthy elite. And there is no man, however genial he may be, who can escape the reality sooner or later.”

Breaking Through your Spirit

The creative artist and poet and saint must fight the actual (as opposed to ideal) gods of our society-the god of conformism as well as the gods of apathy, material success, and exploitative power. These are the the "idols" of our society that are worshiped by multitude's of people.

The Beginnings of Las Vegas Day & Night Painting

Las Vegas Day & Night #2 by A.Siqueiros 2011

There is a continuous dialogue between hand and instrument, hand and culture. Artwork is not thought up in consciousness and then, as a separate phase, executed by the hand. The hand surprises us, creates and solves problems on its own. Often enigmas that baffle our brains are dealt with easily, unconsciously, by the hand.

The Budda in All of Us

The aspiration to attain enlightenment
The highest form of spiritual practice is the cultivation of the altruistic intention to attain enlightenment  for the benefit of all sentient beings, known as bodhichitta. This is the most precious state of mind, the supreme source of benefit and goodness, that which fulfills both our immediate and ultimate aspirations, and the basis of altruistic activity. However, bodhichitta can only be realized through regular concerted effort, so in order to attain it we need to cultivate the discipline necessary for training and transforming our mind.

There are, it seems, two Muses: the Muse of Muse of Inspiration,
who gives us inarticulate visions and desires,
and the Muse of Realization, who returns again and again to say,
"It is yet more difficult than you thought
" This is the Muse of Form!

The Day of Laundry Hell !

Laundry Hell Sketch by a.siqueiros
Sometimes I find myself in a pit of loneliness or anti creativity, feeling trapped in some bleak life situation,or feeling trapped in some bleak life situation, or feeling that I have taken on some piece of work so large and many-faceted that if I lived ten lifetimes I could not complete it. part of me knows that a surprise, a breakthrough, a new element can come in at any moment and change the equation of my life. But all too often I identify myself as a part ( an ego, a solidified self) that sees only what is apparent and feels trapped in it. The demands of daily life and my own expectations seem to allow me no time and no room to maneuver. I am tempted to grasp for an easy outcome, a magic potion, a distraction, or else a way to drop the whole thing. At such times we can create tremendous doubt about the value of our life and art and lets not forget about the cleaning, and Laundry!

Pen & Ink Sketch

New Year ! New Beginnings!

For art to appear, we have to disappear!
This may sound strange, but in fact it is a common experience. The elementary case, for most people, is when our eye or ear is "caught" by something: a tree, a rock, a cloud, a delicate plant, a beautiful person such as your self, a baby's gurgling, spatters of sunlight reflected off some we mud in the forest, the sound of a guitar or violin wafting unexpectedly out of a window.
Mind and sense are arrested for a moment, fully in the experience. Nothing else exists. When we "disappear"
in this way, everything around us becomes a surprise, fresh and New!

Computer Generated wrapping paper sketch

Looking at You
For the artist this is one of the most delicate balancing acts-on the one hand, it is very dangerous to separate practice from the "real thing"; on the other hand, if we start judging what we do we will not have the safe space in which to experiment. Our practice resonates between both poles. We are "just playing," so as to be free to experiment and explore without fear of premature judgment. At the same time we play with total commitment. T.S Eliot said that each word, each action "is a step to the block, to the fire, down the sea's throat. And artist Rico Lebrun said, " I am never agitated in executing forms, but travel rather as if the terrain of the paper was land-mined. When this journey is completed, a drawing is born.

Sketching with the Computer

Although I like sketching with pen and ink, I sometimes find my self staying clean by sketching on the computers seems to be the solution. However I rather be painting! all though the computer is good for keeping me clean, for a true artist but I rather be messy with splashing colors of paint because the computer generated programs do not have the same feeling of being directly connected to the creation that gives you the urge to want to touch them like a painting or sculpture dose. But the computer is a very good tool to put down your concepts to take it to another level in any media you want to create it in.

Pen & Ink Sketch

Self Portrait of the process of a painters mind.
We have been saying all along that improvisation in life and art means moment-to moment nonstop flow, experiencing and creating each moment as it comes; but the opposite have a look at our life and art from the long view, from perspectives that telescope large amounts of space and time.
